Vicki Berghoff
Vicki is a board-certified educational therapist in private practice who specializes in supporting students with learning challenges. She works primarily with students from middle school through graduate school, offering personalized strategies for organization, study skills, and academic success. Prior to her career in education, Vicki practiced law as a litigation attorney, focusing on business disputes as well as workplace discrimination and harassment cases.

Originally from Los Angeles, Vicki relocated to Cambria in 2018 with her husband and their Portuguese Water Dog, Ellie. She holds a B.S. in Psychology and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Educational Therapy from California State University, Northridge, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law.

Vicki has been an active member of the Association of Educational Therapists for over 20 years, serving on the board, participating in various committees, and representing the organization on the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities. Her long-standing commitment to community service also includes volunteer work with The Jewish Federation, Cedars-Sinai Hospital, and as a volunteer attorney at a domestic violence clinic. She has supported several local campaigns and advocacy initiatives.

Motivated by a personal understanding of the generational shift in women’s rights and opportunities, Vicki is deeply concerned about the potential erosion of those gains. This passion led her to seek an appointment on the San Luis Obispo County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, where she aims to advocate for policies that empower and support women and girls in the community.

Vicki is the proud mother of two sons and grandmother to two grandsons and a granddaughter. In her free time, she enjoys cycling along the coast, long walks with Ellie, cooking with her husband, and reading with her two book clubs.
