We are excited to share that following a recommendation from the Commission, the SLO County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to support Assembly bill AB-367 or Menstrual Equity for All Act of 2021, which would make access to menstrual products a human right by ensuring equity and free access to menstrual products for all Californians. Specifically, the bill would require all schools maintaining grades 6-12, community colleges, college campuses, and state and municipal buildings to stock its public restrooms with free menstrual products. Thank you to everyone for your support!

The Commission's advocacy to end period poverty continues with a countywide menstrual products drive on August 27, 2021. Collected items will be distributed to homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, food pantries and other locations. Save the date and stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the day of action!
Is the drive the 27th or the 29 th? I have seen both dates published.
